I liked just about everything but the Ki-67s. I give it an A.

I loath late war Russian sets. Sets (IMO) that include the Yak9U and La7 are so unenjoyable for me they all get a G, IE worse than an F.

Hungary, and now Kurland, have been frustrating beyond description.

Oh, had some nice fights here (Fw vs Yak or G10 vs LaLa7). Didn't have enough time to fly it, just 3 or 4 nights. 1 night went well, had about 3:1 kill ratio in Bf109G10 but then I had to fly under influence of alcohol :D and got 1 assist and 10 deaths...

But as a CT setup, I managed to find A2A combat about everytime I was in the arena. Plane setup was quite nice too, no clear advantages or disadvantages... So it gets a C.  Nice map, but didn't attract enough people on European Prime Time. :(

But was a fun setup, !

A

One of the best maps I have seen - realistic and historical. If you want a base you are damn sure going to have to work for it! No base porkers on this one.

Over generous Russian aircraft flight models, every dweeb in sight in a LA-7 and 5 to 1 odds against the Axis threw it off some but still an enjoyable map. In the future LA-7 needs to be perked IMHO.

Lots more GV activity, think the above reason you seen alot of guys in the GV's. They just got tired of fighting the odds and grabbed a Tiger. If we had the numbers of the MA on this map would have been a HELL of a battle!

Kanttori and Crew. Great map.

A few things.

I suggested that the Ki-67 be left out and only added once the skin was ready.

Tigers - they should be more limited.

I work from 6pm to 3am so i didnt get in the arena much. The few rimes I flew I had fun.

FYI Ki-67 skin

Ki-67 skinned as DB3/IL4

Great IL-4 skin - it is really looks like IL-4.

Grade: A-
Really good setup - enjoyed it much.
Very ballanced - spend most of the time in my Yak-9U.

The minus for numbers - most of the time VVS was outnumbered in ratio 2:1 ~ 1.5:1.

I think we should continue with such late war setups VVS vs LW - like.

Must be the time difference, in US prime time the VVS always outnumbered the LW, just as they did the week of Hungary, in about the same ratios you gave even when JG54 had squad night. One night, I cant remember if it was tuesday or thursday it stayed 25-30:10-12 for about 3 hours. If the VVS was outnumbered 2:1 I imagine it would seem even, but when the LW is outnumbered at that ratio its like clubbing baby seals. I cant imagine that was fun for either side, but it must have been since none switched sides to even things up.

so it;s ok to skin (or not) ija stuff as vvs, but not vvs as ija (la5 as ki-44) to allow  "substitutions"?

I am not on the ct staff and this skin has nothing to do with the ct.

Nothing is stopping you from skinning and la5N as a ki-44. Except amount of time you spend slobberdonkey'ing on this forum.

So make your skin send it to the the person who has the map files and ask him to re-build the map using it.

it's been asked... denied due to "spoling the immersion"

That set up was very challenging.  it gets a B.  I mostly flew axis but the few times i flew russe i was amazed at how effective the yaks are.  maybe hawk will do his stat thingy.

My grade is to CT-use after that Kurland-week: C :D

Good things:

-Landscapes are great looking thank's Squirrel's textures. I think it's one of the best looking winter-terrain. ;)
-Defensive V-bases (with SB's) are nice to those who like to drive GV's. They are not very easy to capture.

Bad things:

-Too few airfields near the front lines. You must fly too long time to fight.
-Only one rearm pad in the Airfields.

Solving this problem:

Update is under work. I am adding to every Defensive V-Base (those with SB's and heavy ack) a little NS-runaway and rearm-pad. It means there are coming about 25 airfields more near the frontlines: Then the action is NEAR! :D

From the Clipboard map you can see those V-Base-airfields as a little airfields (icon = one NS runaway). The "normal" airfields are shown as a big airfield (icon = three crossing runaways)

The little V-base towns are shown as a normal Vehicle Fields.

I am also adding rearm pads to the normal Airfields.

I hope after those adjustments you all give an "A" to it! :aok
