Probably the Sydney Funnel Web spider, its fangs can penetrate a 1/2 leather boot and it is one of the few truly aggressive spiders

Actually I am led to understand that the household "Daddy Longlegs Spider" (no idea what the latin name is) has the deadliest venom.

It cannot, however, bite humans as its fangs are UNABLE to penetrate human skin.

Am I right?

They did this one on 'Mythbusters'.  The myth was busted.  I don't remember the details.

Really?  Oooops...I helped propagate the myth the other day then.

My second guess would be the Banana Spider then.  I think it is Brazilian.

DING! hawker 238 is the winner. Here's your prize... :aok

It's the Brazilian Wandering Spider, otherwise known, though incorrectly, as the Banana Spider. I forget the name of the other one, but it's a scrawny little arachnid that is also venomous and found hanging around bananas in the groves. Hence the reason it's known as a banana spider. This one got the nickname because it wanders all over the place and makes no web, and has been found in banana crates. Highly agressive, very venomous, and rather deadly.

Actually, it rests solely with what you call a "Daddy Long Legs."

Just like that Northern / Southern dialect tester, Daddy Long Legs is a different spider in the north then it is in the south and west.

The one that is the most poisonous is not really a spider (If I can recall correctly).  It's the thing with very long very thin legs and a dollop for a body.  This is more poisonous then any spider out there.  However, it's only violent to spiders, it's fangs are really small, and it only carries enough venom to be able to kill another spider.

However, if you were to inject the same amount of venom as any normal spider, you'd die within minutes.

Wrong, wrong, wrong.  Absolutely brimming over with wrongability.

http://www.snopes.com/critters/wild/longlegs.htm

According to snopes it's bollocks.  However also according to snopes a study of the toxicity of daddy long legs venom has never been done........so ya never know it might be true after all.

Swoop, that's not the bug I'm referring too.

Hence why I said a Daddy Long Legs is different in each region.
