You guys ever get this thing going?   By the looks of that thread, seems it fell through.

I was watching Clear and Present Danger tonight and felt the urge to reinstall OpFlash and Resistance.  Spent the last 2 hours finding, downloading, and installing a CRAPLOAD of addons.  I am very surprised this game is still ticking!

still busy over here:  http://ofp.gamezone.cz/

I'm also cruising through Dinger's stuff (http://www.thechainofcommand.com) - having fun with his claymores :D

Dude all the ofp addons are free. It's illegal for a third party to sell addons and mods.

I thought you were refering to the expansion CDs in your first reply.

Not sure about the falklands mod.

The Falklands mod died unfortunately.

Best addons I've seen lately are the BAS soldier addons (great new M4s with both ACOG and reflex sights), new AT launchers that do proper damage to vehicles instead of just destroying them outright or bouncing off ala LAWs and RPGs.

And yeah, no need to pay for addons.  Everyone must have the expansion (OFP:resistance) though, makes the game so much better it just aint funny.  And the official patch v1.96 removes the need for the CD to be in the drive.

The only trouble I ever had with OFP was making sure everyone had the right addons installed.  It's a pain in the backside when you're all set up to play and someone doesnt have the right addons.......especially when you've been using the same addons for months and cant remember where you got em in the first place.

I used to have a CD full of WW2 addons for OFP but lost them ages ago.  Funked may still have the CD I gave Fatty to give to him at the 2002 con.

Sweet.

octavius at hitechcreations.com

I downloaded FDF Mod  - which adds just a TON of stuff... but weighs in at 400+ mb.

SEB Nam Pack2 (100mb)

And a bunch of other things.

BAS seems to be out of business.  I'm looking for some DL spots now.

The Falklands mod is supposed to be 71% done. By the time they finish, OFP II will be out lol (ok, unlikely)

I'm still playing MFCTI a LOT, although my computer has trouble unless I play the "less units" variant of 1.16. On of the Shills modded the mod, and added a Kawasaki Motorcycle that REALLY improves the Early phase gameplay.

If you haven't played MFCTI, it basically turns OFP into a Hybrid FPS/RTS game, where two sides fight for control of Everon. It's one of the best games I've ever played, and has a replayability that I've never seen in a FPS before. The Combined Arms aspects are just crazy, I love using Airborne Infantry to take and hold towns Behind enemy lines.

Every December I get a hankering to play lol.

Anyhow, I'll see if I can find the url for the Motorcycle version of mfcti

Falklands is still underway; I've spoken to CBFASI (alsoo his AH name) just in the past month about it.

Well, it's not illegal to sell addons for OFP, but you'd have to do it through Codemasters or something. So a third party could conceivably sell stuff, especially if they were under contract to do so. Of course, with the OFP addon scene, it wouldn't really make sense, since those commercial addons would be available to all. (Unlike VBS1 which encrypts addons to individual keys... of course, someone could pirate those, but what's the point?)
I haven't played OFP in something like six months, but am always willing to try. My little OFP mod group is still alive, but we're "pursuing other opportunities" at the moment.

Anyway, I'd be game, but the time zone and net difficulties might throw a wrench in it.  At the very least, I can supply some sweet-ass CM tools to make it all work better. I don't think I part with the "military-grade" stuff, but the general release goodies are pretty nice.
