Nick Bergs dad did say....

that President Bush is directly responsible for the death of his son and the terrorists who killed his son are probably just as bad as the Bush administration.

His son went there of his own free will and wanted to do good work in Iraq for the benifit of the Iraqi people.  His father has disgraced the goodwill of his son but.......Grief makes people insane and say stupid outragous things.  Go easy on him Lord.

I am personnaly sick after seeing the whole thing, I feel sick to my stomach and probably need a valium or two as well to cope with those images. I did not ever know Nick Berg but he reminds me of my son in a way, or the guys his age that I currently work with. Nicks dad is not responsible for his statements, they are statements of rage and disgust and soul searching and asking a higher power why this would happen to his family. I cry for nicks father because he was forced to see those images by the media and a desire to come to terms with it possibly. He has become a man I hope I never have to be, a man who was forced to watch a family member be executed on TV basically.
Nicks father has  the right to be angry with anyone he wants including god almighty or whomever else.

Speaking of going to hell.

Mz you peaked too soon.  Never before IMO have the denizens of a webboard more deservedly earned the plague of Kaybearjr.

Oh. to stay on topic.  The poor guy was in Iraq to just make money. He wasn't an angel of humanitarian aid.  Let's not "Private Lynch" the guy huh?

Am I the only person who has imagined their own child being in Nick bergs place?

I mean, I had a mental image in my head earlier today that literally made me sick to my stomach. If I withnesses something like this happening to my daughter, I would literally kill myself as I could not live with the mental agony.

Anyone else having a problem with this or should I call a shrink?

Dont sweat it Muck, it will pass -just let it slide into time a bit and a larger less viscious perspective will come into play.  Trust me.

Westy, apparently the guy has done good things elsewhere and besides money had other motivations, apparently....trying to bring technology to backwards struggling places like africa and iraq made him feel useful in this world.

.S. intelligence officials have concluded that terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was the person shown on a video beheading an American civilian in Iraq, based on an analysis of the voice on the video, a CIA official said Thursday

Would you even care........

Amazing...

People choose to view this atrocity, then complain about getting sick about it. I'm not going to watch it, don't need to watch it.

But is it not ironic that the media is permitted to show us this civillian being killed, and yet we can't even view images of our soldiers respectfully at rest in flag-draped coffins.

I just find it interesting that those on this board that oppose the liberal media at Dover AFB are so ecxitedly doing internet searches to watch a public beheading. What about respect for Mr. Berg and HIS family?

I haven't viewed the video but if it were my son I think I would.
I think Nick Berg's father should be given a pass on all that he says in the near future.  I'm not saying he won't have legitimate and thoughtful things to say, just that if  he says something outrageous that his circumstances should be considered.
I can only imagine the pain he feels.

Agreed, and I hear he was asked to leave and given a ride out?

Blame the ole mighty dollar not the President.

Americans in that country know they are a target by these groups.

He made his choices as sad as it is.
