Gunslinger was never on a tard list.

I really can't think of many ( maybe 2 ) since I've been here that I thought were pretty consistant, mindless retards....and both of them are gone now.

Never said he was.  I'm emphasizing the fact he's not on this one.  That's the clue for the ignant folk.

No comment about the second part.  :)

The difference between Patrick Hitler and the Laden family is that Patrick not only denounced his uncle's actions, but also joined the American military to back up his words.

What has the Laden family done? I don't recall even a statement by them...

Considered by some to be a building, CN Tower is the tallest free standing structure.  It main purpose is a communications platform.

By most definitions, CN Tower is a tower, not a building.

A tower differs from a building in that the latter is considered to be a structure that is designed for residential, business, or manufacturing purposes. Also, an essential characteristic of a building is that it has floors.  The Seattle Space needle therefore is a tower, not a building.

If we measure without qualifications,  the tallest structure in the world is KVLY-TV mast in North Dakota, at 629m (2,063 feet).

I'd look at the last one in particular if you're wondering what the bin Laden family has done not just regarding the misdeeds of their relative but also the philanthropy they've practiced in America.

You really cannot judge a family by one bad seed no matter how bad he is.

So...  I just read a bit about the Bin Laden family, and I'm a bit upset because I realize that I was automatically putting them in the same bucket as Osama Bin Laden, but that's just not true.

It appears that it's a hard working family that stands for almost everything Osama Bin Laden hates, and that he is an outcast in the family.

With my current knowledge, it looks like they're just another family with an unfortunate name, and that it's unfair to assume that they are terrorists just because of a family connection.  They have publically shunned Osama, something that's risky for many high profile Saudi families.

I guess that what I'm saying is that I regret making the inference that they deserve to be punished for the actions of one of their (large) family.  Doing so is no better then disparaging all blacks because there happens to be a black criminal, no better then locking up all people of Japanese descent in the US at the beginning of WWII.

I'm not saying that they're saints, just that there's no good reason to assume that they support terrorism in any way.

I'll leave my previous posts in this thread intact because I'm not a fan of revisionist history, but I'll publically retract the badly aimed sentiment from them here.  It was in poor taste and not a fair representation.  In explanation, they came out of an anger that I (and many others around the world feel), but this is an explanation, not an excuse, so I retract them fully.

Best regards, I'm sure there are plenty of folks out there on the board that'll disagree with me, but I feel obliged to make my sentiment clear.

Well said.

Even more sickening are the suggestions that Bush somehow knew about 911  because the Bush family had business dealings with the Bin Laden family...
