I imagine the way he saw it is that if he pitched the job could get done sooner and his brother would be at-risk for a lesser amount of time.
personally I have no problem with the war on terrorism, it's the Iraq invasion that I have a problem with (no matter how to tie the two together, Afghanistan is the war on terror, Iraq still hasn't been tied to 9/11) but even still the justness of the war is irrelevant when talking about the honor and heroism of the soldiers.
Also, Tillman didn't sign on during the Iraq invasion, he joined up before that when we where dealing with Afghanistan, where the people who attacked our country where supported and their leaders HQ'd.
IMO he didn't sign on for glory or a chance to kill some people, he signed on to serve his country and maybe help bring his brother home sooner.
no matter what Bush and his administration did to drag us into Iraq, we shouldn't let politics tarnish the honor of the men who did their duty.
Tillman was a hero.
