beetle the caddy was a 4-6-8 deal but it was slow to act.  According to the literature the chrysler one is seemless and works in miliseconds.  I have heard the car and it sounds like a V8 to me.

skuzzy.. even now the 57-58 300's seem a tiny bit over the top to me.   I really liked the 55-56 300.   Other than the grill I can't see what parts of the styling are not to like.

thrawn... I am hyper vigilante... like a cat or.. that Peter sellers character in the pink panther.   I welcome your feeble canadian attempts to catch me off guard.

I don't think I'd want to buy a car doing any less than 30.

Is it true gas prices hit $5 in England, beetle?

To be honest, I have a lead foot but still enjoy the V6 in my Accord, peppy enough fer me. Bummer about the false advertising on the hybrids. I'd gladly give up my need for speed if we could eliminate our need for foreign oil.

another thing to look at with the hybrids is how much more the car costs vs other cars in the same class.   Someone at work was talking about getting one of the hybrids.  He priced it out against other cars in the class.  I can't remember exactly what he came up with, but the price savings in gas catch up to the price difference of the hybrid in about 5 years.

That was based off of the dealer reported MPG, not the more realistic MPG that is being reported by consumers.

I have been thinking for years that a merc with a big block in it would be a pretty neat car...  This thing  is pretty much what I woulda built and I don't think I could do it for as cheap.

Gonna be lots of cheap speed equipment for that hemi soon... they are gonna have a 4 wheel drive version...

Only bad thing is that there is no stick shift version but it is at least a 5 speed auto.

Laz... remember when you were young and you used to think cheap liquor was fun, but now you probably discriminate a bit more? This is the same sort of thing, only it's a car. Consider it a "luxury" muscle car. :)

sandie yep.. but I still have a couple of hot rods.. they just beat the crap out of me on a trip anymore and hardly anyone will ride with me.  I was thinking of the 300 as a road trip car to take my girlfriend and grand daughter in and such..

Lazs it's a new engine they are calling a "hemi".  It's not the classic hemi.  Get over it.

funked.. it is a hemi..  it is just a better hemi than the old boat anchor.  cam is mounted higher in the block like it shoulda been all along and it has aluminum heads.  It's a better hemi and guys will be getting 500 street hp out of it without it breaking a sweat.

Hawker 238 - just filled up my Volvo S40

Price Per Litre =£0.829  (82.9p)

In dollars =0.829 x 1.70 = $1.4093 per litre

So US gallon is 3.785L so that makes it $5.33 per US gallon

$5.33 per gallon

$77.74 to fill up my 4 door mid-size

and you guys are bleating about $2.00

Considering that we have much longer distances to cover, you bet we're bleating! The UK is roughly the size of Oregon.
