B-17 drones still very squirrelly on takeoff, i.e., they can only be made to stay with the lead bomber by flying extremely carefully and may still blow up anyway, for no apparent reason.
Drones seem to stay with lead ok at altitude and on return flight, but during takeoff and initial climb they are unacceptable.
