One more.......
you can live with disapperring runways when you know where are they........

So you can live with this bug untill......

you want to do some air-to-ground sorties........
when you can't see AAA guns or parts of objects that you want to bomb are disapperring - it is really problem......

I have tried the  Omega drivers on Shifts PC without any improvement on this problem.

Omega latest win98/ME drivers stop at catalyst 4.1 and he will not make any further updates for those OS. (Given he is a beta tester for ATI this is ominous).

Hence ATI's 4.3 catalyst are more up to date than Omega.

Omega does allow some Z buffer adjustment but I just do not know what to do with it!

It seems that all users of ATI Radeons after 9200 do not suffer this problem regardless of OS.

Any win98/ME users with 9600's or 9800's with this problem?

Thanks, but as those are the lastest ATI drivers that is what we're running already.

I am sure the lack of a suggestion means that at present there is not one known to HTC....they would surely say so if there was.

This does not mean they are not considering ............or planning to consider the problem......... if they arrive at a fix I am sure they will tell us via a patch......if they believe there is not a fix short of a new card or new OS they will tell us also....but first they must consider it and every little nuance of new data we post here may help.

I rather suspect we'll have to live with this, get new hardware or get XP if able.

No idea how to fix it, can't even think of a work around in AH to fix it.

Presume this "transition architecture" is a new feature in AH2........this effect seems to focus on these areas.

Thanks for giving it some consideration.......

I tried the so called win98 Cat 4.4 drivers from 3d guru in Shifts machine................they were actually Cat 4.3..... the effect remained.

Has anyone successfully gotten help from ATI?  Do we know officially that they are not going to update/fix 98/ME drivers?  I noticed that driver updates seem to come once a month from ATI so the fact that our last driver is from march looks ominous.

HTC, I purchased my card specifically as an upgrade to run AH2, could we get a notice somewhere that ATI cards under 98/ME are not compatable with AH2, so that no one else wastes money?

I'm Win XP user but I also have same problems with latest drivers for MOBILITY RADEON 9000......

It is not 98/Me problem.................

Strange but I have absolutly no such problems with other games........

IMHO HTC should try to find out what is the reason of the problems and how to override it.....

It is not easy - it requres probably to work together with ATI - but lots of customers need it.....

HTC please ;)

Have fired several emails to ATI from several angles and am getting the same half arsed auto reply advising me to upgrade drivers.

I note that Cat 4.7 has been released for XP with no upgrade for 98SE/ME.

Frankly I am not impressed with ATI.

Problem seems to be with 9000/9200 users who cannot access the latest Cat drivers (4.6 & 4.7).

{I am not sure if artiks reference to "mobility" drivers is the same as CAT drivers}

I bought this 9200 under a special offer from a local store and at the time I thought I had bought a 9600 (Creative boxes were identical)........... my bad.

I think I made a mistake buying ATI at all. Will not do it twice.
