you'll need the special license for that, and a dealer who will handle full auto's.

which island are you on?  if you are on Oahu you could go down to Waikiki, and check with one of those shooting ranges, where the Japanese pay by the hour to shoot full-autos.  

they could probably let you know about the local laws and maybe even know someone who is selling one.  hell they probably have one there you could use and a contact to get more.

Full auto Thompsons are available on the market, not new ones, but older weapons.

Hawaii does not allow the private ownership of full auto weapons.

Do NOT convert a semi-auto to full auto, it carries big penalties and the ATF will come after you with both feet.  Federal sentence is 10 years.

Definitly not worth it.  As mentioned, there are place you can go to shoot one.  My local range has an occasional "machine gun" night when you can rent and shoot a full auto weapon.  I did it once just to fire a Thompson on full auto.   It was fun.

I just noticed you can buy a 10.5 inch replacement barrel for $175.  A replacement barrel is not a bad idea, you know, just in case:D

Well, I was looking for 3 Weapons that belong to US Army in WWII and hopefully buy them next year after save all the money.

M1 Garnard Rife (.30 Cal)
M1918AA2 BAR or Browning Automatic Rifle (.30 Cal)
M1911A1 Colt 45 Pistol (.45)

I have to look up on Gunbroker.com and find the best one.

Oh yeah, M1 Garnards will be very hard to find and I guess I have to go Gun Show to see if they have any M1 G for sale.  One of members of Heber Springs Gun Club(Arkansas) has one lucky M1 Garnard and will not trade anything for a world, but it was sweet rifle. :D
