Are all the Eng sounds the same

are all the eng on AH and Ah2 all the same sound??????????????????????? they seem to be well i think so  yall should have a diffrent sound for each plane takes a while but its more realistic id think it would be much better yall think so??

Yes the default engine sounds in AH are all the same.   AH's default installation is rather sparse with regards to sounds and this is pobably one of the game's biggest weaknesses.  Sounds are every bit as important for immersion in a "simulation" as the flight model is!

Fortunately this can be rectified with 3rd-paty sound packs.  One such self-installing sound pack is "Mitsu's sound pack" ; you can find links to download it on this forum.  While such sound packs are seldom of the quality of something produced in-house, it is certainly an improvement over the current default install.

CC mitsu was in MA just the other day teling us that hes working on AH2 sounds : - ))) hehe can wait just dont like the way the 1st 51d eng sounded i think it sounded like a weed eater

I just hope his new P-51D doesn't sound the same as the old one (read: Weed-Eater).

The P-51D sound Mitsu made is almost spot-on when you hear it externally.

I've never heard one from the inside so I can't comment on that.
