Timmins' decision to boot Ronstadt from the casino was moot...she was only signed to do a single show.

Entertainers can believe or say anything they want in public or private, as is their right.  What ticks me off is that they have unlimited access to the media which gleefully broadcasts their elitest political views.  How often does the average American voter have access to that kind of influence?  That's the actual source of the anger that the Vegas audience was giving vent to.  Whether it is a fair assessment or not, many moderate and conservative Americans feel that the press panders to the Hollywood mindset and the political left.

The level of the division between Americans of different political persuasians is becoming frightening.  Moore's movie and Ronstadt's comments aren't bridging that gap...they are widening it.  They may believe that they are solidifying support behind their candidate Kerry...but they are galvanising the right as well.

It's going to be a dirty political season.

Unless they are Republicans, then everything is hunky-dory.

rpm,

You've learned a few tricks from MM...such as quoting out of context.  The very next statement says..."How often does the average American have access to that kind of influence?"

The average American...you know...the citizens of any political stripe.  How many average Americans agree with the political views being spouted by these Hollywood dingbats?  Or do you believe that those who booed and walked out on Ronstadt were all Republicans?

well...looks who's talking!

a guy who admits he barely scraped through high school and lives in a town of 16k people knows more about the world and politics than a woman who has earned millions of dollars and travelled extensively throughtout the world over decades?

We had 2 choices: Accept "International" as our new national anthem or try to keep commies out from Helsinki.
Too bad your country wasn't defending freedom then like it does now; your country was just standing still thumbs in your butts when we kept communism away from northern Europe.
Hell you should be thankful to Germany; Without their help russian missiles would be hiding in the mountains of Norway.

Don't take it from me, though, here's a quote of yours from JB73's thread on Moore about a week ago.

You go girl

I'm glad you agree Porky.

Intellectually honest huh? Yet you have no problem making the blanket statement that no truth was told in the entire movie. LOL.

If I can add something else to this. Did you watch the 2000 Dem Convention when the Boy Scouts, kids, not the Adults, prsented the Colors in the Convention? They were booed!! All this because they disaggree with their stand on Gay Leaders. So they booed the kids. And to me the flag of our Nation. Shows the kind of people the Dems really are.
