Why wouldn't he?  It's only called a documentary for the purposes of marketing.  Just like his last film.

If it was marketed as it really is, the film would have bombed at the box office.  Instead it was marketed in an area ripe for making money.

You may not like him, but you have to accept he does a brilliant job marketing his product.  He has the sheep by the nose and they seem happy to comply.

Ordinarily it would be relevent to require a critic to see the movie he is critiquing. But in the case of Moore, I don't think it's required. All that Moore has ever produced is of the same genre... BS. He twists, distorts, misrepresents, misquotes, misleads, uses erronious material, and outright lies his fat bellybutton off.

I have seen pretty much all of his work, except for F911, and aside from comedic value, it's worthless. It consists soley of deviant claims twisted to substantiate an opinion that cannot be substantiated by facts. just like pounding a round peg into a square hole. The only people who fail to recognize his distorted reality are those who want to believe him. Even on some points that can be substantiated in fact, Moore seems to choose balderdash instead. It's like he is bent on producing lies than proving a premise.

Be assured that anything with Moore's name on it is tripe.

Skuzzy, have you seen F9/11?

If you have, what did you think of it by way of it's compilation? How would you express your opinion on its 'entertainment' value?

I understand you don't care for the political content, but you acknowledge MMoore's success in marketing this film. Do you feel the same about the way he directed it?(BTW: F9/11 should break the $100Million US dollar ticket sales level this week, in less than a month, and with an "R" rating.)

I am not a big fan of political satire xtoronto so I will not see it.

It's not my opinion about it being 'entertainment'.  I wouldn't call it 'entertainment'.  Boring would be the word I would apply.

It does not matter what I think about how he made the film.  It is what it is.

EDIT:  I am not sure why you bring up what the film is grossing.  Spiderman 2 is doing much better.

prove me wrong!:lol

First, have you seen the movie?  If not, what is your basis for argument about what the film actually presents?

As for the link just look on moore's site its right there... http://www.michaelmoore.com/  He makes a pained excuse of how the movie didnt misrepresent anything wrt to these fligts. He even states the movie didnt try to say it. Yet for example a big point made in the movie is that saudi flights were allowed when others were grounded - I distinctly remember F911 saying that even the frst president bush wasnt allowed to fly juxtopsed with these allowed saudi flights.

Pongo makes an intresting point. He is seemoing to say that Moore didnt say anything incorrect but that he merely used another persons opinon which may be wrong. Well moore is responsible for making sure that the content of his film is accurate if he is trying to portray it as fact.

Finally why this ridiculous need for a "link" for every statement. Arent we allowed to think for ourselves and make conclusions based on what we see? The simple fact of the matter is that F911 deliberatly intends to leave one with an impression that political favors from Bush were key in the flights being allowed to happend and this is simply not true as the 911 commision demonstarated. Richard Clarke was the man who handled all of that - it never came to Bush according to everyone involved - even Moore's hero Clarke, in fact he claims sole responsibilt for it.

And you have to prove that I'm lying. Go see the movie and decide for yourself..  Heck it seems I'm the only one here who has seen it.

How convenient.

So why were you asking me all those questions?

EDIT:  Question to those who went and saw the movie.  Did you go because you truly believed it was a documentary?  Or was there other motivation?  If so, what was it?

Tell the guy to shut up on his on board? I think you may be needing another handle soon.

you are such a pain in the bellybutton xrtoronto. Almost every time someone tries to discuss anything with you, you launch a personal attack against them.

I think your IQ is probably very low after reading your posts. I have yet to see you offer anything intelligent here.

Go back to your michael moore love doll and leave the BB to people with at least an 80 IQ .

First, you asked a lot more than if I had seen the movie.  For some reason you quoted the amount of money it made.  I have no idea what that was about.

I also posted information pertinent to this thread.  I am not the one who wants to 'discuss' the movie.  There is no point in discussing it.
Either you like political satire and enjoy MM's implementation or you don't like political satire or you do not care for MM's implemetation of satire.

I do not care for political satire, nor MM's marketing tactics in this particular scenario.  If you like the movie, peachy.

Now get off your high horse and either discuss the thread or leave.  If the best you can do is to tell me to shutup, then I think I may have a better understanding of the type of person that supports MM and takes what he says as truth.
