I love sims that let me fly in air
But hat-switch views are at best fair
So I bough track ir
Now its more fun by far
Cause whenever my head turns I look there.

Yep, thanks. Works great now! Can't wait to wring it out. I tried it offline and it fealt much better than the previous mouseview tracking. I like how when it senses you coming back to center to line up a shot it seems to "snap" to center, which is a big help. This might actually work very well.

Can someone please tell me - in 5 lines or less - what IS TrackIR, and why all the fuss about it? Not trolling - just want to know.

Basically it's a sensor that system that allows you to "look" around yr cockpit without using any keys or hats. You have a IR dot - mine's on my mic - and a sensor on yr desk.

As you move yr head your view chnages, turn your head right and the viewing angle pans right, yr eye's stay forward on the screen but moving yr head moves your viewpoint.

It's a must in IL2, not so sure it's needed in AH but am going to try it this weekend - costs about £100 in the UK.
