Having trouble with P40E
« Reply #15 on: July 28, 2004, 05:11:23 PM »
I think I found it, I had my screen resolution set to 800x600 so part of the program wasnt showing up. But under the RGB there was an I with a number beside it. I made a txt document called P40E_a and in it all I put was 151, but it shows the color I chose when I load it offline

my reply on that post is relevent to PSP7 as that is the prog i use.

take the index colour from the final saved  bitmap..if you take index before reducing the colours you will not have the correct index number, as reducing the colour will slightly change the colour you chose..

Raptor I sent you an email with your index number.  According to Adobe Photoshop 7 the pinkish/purple color you used is indexed at 149.  One thing to be sure of too is that you don't have any layers that overlay your alpha area that may have color run off onto your alpha color.  Any stray colors can change your index number.  I accidentally overlayed mine a few times with weathering layers, tint layers and even once had a few stray marks over it.

Heres what I did wrong... I named my file wrong. I checked before I sent it to you and it was 149. But I named my .txt file P40E_a and forgot to put the SD.

Thanks for the help

BTW I fixed the 13 font
