I re-installed AH after re-installing Windows after serious problems  running Windows. And now, no matter what I do Aces High gives this error:

initializion failed with -5
main SN2_FAILED-2

I have re-installed both Direct X and Aces High.

Really desperate here. :(

That error indicates DirectX is ont able to intialize the sound card.  Typically means the native sound card drivers are not loaded.
Run DXDIAG and select the "Sound" tab and it will give you more information.
