I figure it'll all come down to modeling. There's such a wide range of data on the Frank, if they modeled the highest performance, I could see a small perking. But if they model the low side, then I don't see it as much more of a threat than the N1k2... but until the plane is modeled and tested we'll never know.

Saw this and the other big airplane that Superfly is working on on Wednesday morning and both are outstanding works. Nate even showed me the detail in the cockpit that he is able to put into the plane. When finished its going to be amazing. Great fit for the planeset and great work by Natedog.

NATEDOG or Pyro,

The Ki-84 will follow the AH2 specs with no mirroring on the skin and no hard coded details, correct?

I can see a few skins being done for this aircraft by Japanese players once it is released.

Correct Karnak; at least that is what Natedog and Superfly both mentioned when I was there the other day. The new aircraft (Ki-84 and bomber in the works) will both be built to the new specifications and from outside appearances will have awesome detail.

Whatever data it uses, there's no justification in perking a Ki-84 when a plane like La-7 or a P-51D is free.

ps) but then again.. there's no justification in a Spit14 being perked so high either..

Reschke,

Thanks.  I thought it was so, but I wanted to be sure.  I'll bet there are some skins done for it pretty quick after release due to the fact that a lot of talented Japanese players really wanted it and because skin makers will know that Ki-84 skins will last.

One thing that has occured to me is that people who like eye candy are going to be more inclined to use the Ki-84 simply because it'll look so much better up close than things like the La-7.  The performance of the Ki-84 may also make it popular in the MA.  Coupled, I can see the Ki-84 being in the top 4 for quite some time.

Kweassa,

Time to update your "New Perk Agenda";)

SunKing,

No, it hasn't.

Also Natedog and Superfly are getting the basics down for revamping the existing planes to AH2 standards. This one from Natedog and the one from Superfly along with the vehicle (supposedly a tank) are going to be the first ones using the new standards for modeling which will allow us to make some great skins.

As for the bomber in development it hasn't been released but it is the (censured for NonDisclosure Agreement) and I hope you guys like it since it many of you have been clamoring for big bombs to go with it.
