AH is my first online game, so my first historical scenario was last August. It was the 'Memphis Belle' scenario - I couldn't believe how good it was to be flying a '17 with twenty other bombers in the formation. It was especially cool when we started getting ravaged by those pesky 109s.

I guess we are waiting for the plane-set to be fleshed out a little, but it would be very cool to do another 'Afrika Corps' style event again.

The MA hasn't seemed the same since I played in that event. It was great to be involved in such a huge multi-frame thing, and CO-ing a squad for a couple of the frames was awesome.

I know it's a headache (verging on a migrane  )for the organisers, but are there any plans for a new campaign soon?

Dowding,

There are several large scale events currently in production, and you should be hearing some information about the next one soon. Sorry about the delay, but they take a huge amount of time and effort to put on.

Just wanted to say "Salute" and thanks to all the CMs.  I know it takes an amazing amount of time and the ability to withstand unjustified amounts of grief when things don't go just right.

Afrika Korps was a blast, the weekend events are a lot of fun, and I look forward to them all.  I only hope HTC supports the effort by keeping in mind rounding out the planeset for scenario purposes when they add new aircraft.

Personally, I had a blast in the Afrika scenario as a dedicated tanker. Fr. 3 was the greatest with the ambush of the 1st Armored going off surprisingly well. We shot down two dweebfires too!   <S> To the CM crew and Dinger for the fun time I had.

I also took part in the Warbirds 'Blitzkreig' scenario as a P-40 pilot. Had some seriously great memories from there and I wish some of the pilots would make the transition to over here. (Oz being one of them) I'll post an AAR of my favorite frame when I can find it.

What am I looking for? Midway, Coral Sea battles... maybe a 'what if' scenario here or there.

Defintely more tank scenarios

Dowding,

Glad you enjoyed the "Memphis Belle" senario, that was the only one I designed as a CM before life got so hectic and I had to resign.   I wanted to do more like that but the move to Austin just about killed me.

Verm and the guys in the CM staff are an awesome bunch and VERY dedicated to what they do.  I'm sure they will have many more senario's soon.  The main thing missing, in my view, is plane set.  BUT HTC is on that right now.

 S! to the CM staff!!!!!

<using best Pyro imitation> Patience, grasshopper. I'll be making an announcement soon about the next large multi-frame scenario. Just have to make sure we have our bases covered first.

Thanks Verm, banana.

I realise how hard it is to get everything together.

BTW, if you need a CO for a squad, count me in.

Udie - that scenario rocked - I hadn't flown that many flight sims before AH and none online. It took all my concentration not to fly into another b17.

One thing I forgot...

A nice touch after the Warbirds scenarios was to get a package in the mail from Imol.

Inside was a little metal pin, with the logo of the scenario on it.

I lost my Blitzkrieg one, but I still have the NG stuck to my wall.

Even though the cost is probably a lot (250-300 pins) they were definitely cool. Wonder if we'll ever see these in our mailbox?

Memphis Belle was a blast.

I'd love to see an Eastern Front combined arms scenario but we do not have the weapons to run it yet.

The one thing that we do have a lot of the right toys for is a US 8th AF vs. Jagdwaffe scenario.  Anybody remember Pointblank from WarBirds?  That one was great.  I'd love to replay that one here without the 32-plane limit and @#$%^@# Otto.

A Kursk scenario by January 2002 would be very nice.

Sounds like a great idea Moose.

We'd need a LOT more new aircraft besides the Il-2 to do Kursk without an long list of "substitutions" or total omissions of major aircraft in that battle.  Only a fraction of Russian AC in mid-43 were LA-5FNs and Yak-9s.

No Stukas, No Pe-2, no P-39s, Yak 1s, Yak 7s, etc.

I support (and it seems the CM staff supports) doing scenarios we have the planes for, with the least substitions.

I concur with the previous post that what we've got is the planeset to do 1944 Strategic bombing, either 8th or 15th AF.

I would like to see a fighter sweep over France. Scramble the LW and strafe the bases and jabo the tanks.

I think this would be great for some sort of scenario. May need to wait to more planes and see if we will get any new ships or task force types.
