Terne, if this means you are gone for good, take care.  That said....

All I ask is that "we", the players, be kept in the 'loop' a little better in as much as FAQ updates, pending release dates, Bugs to watch out for. If I missed those sections, then by all means slap my head and point me at them.

I'd love to see an example of any software company, much less gaming company, that:

a) Releases as frequent updates to their product as HTC does.

b) Keeps its customers as informed as HTC does regarding future development.

I can't think of any that come close.  And don't throw out open-coding projects that by their very nature necessitate that future development be made public.  Really, we have it pretty damn good.

And the winner is:

1) In the category of "Head so big they don't make a box that it will fit in":

TERN

2) In the category of using vague terms such as "alot of people other than me" and "we the players"

TERN

3) In the category of "More buisness savy than I for letting this individual hang around":

I was fortunate enough to be able to drop in on HT and the gang this week for a few minutes.  Pyro gave me and a friend a tour around while HT schmoozed with some magazine guys.  I can tell you from my initial impressions, they are very busy, are doing a tremendous job and are providing us a sim that is quickly becoming everything we wish WB would have become.

I am amazed that they even have time to answer posts at all, that after working all day long developing this game they still have the enthusiasm to play it with us in the evenings and still be civil when we whine.

My advice is this, if you wish to see change or improvements, suggest it in a diplomatic manner, remember if you attack this game in any way, you are attacking their hard work and efforts.  Nobody wants to see that done to something they work very hard on.

For me personally, knowing nothing at all about programming, this toejam still amazes me.

Tern, considering the number of people at HTC (6) and the incredible output of work they have achieved so far, I think the customer feedback has been great.  Certainly better than other sim companies who have far more people on staff and have achieved far less over the last couple of years.

I'd much rather they spend time fixing stuff than telling us they are fixing stuff.  I know another company that is very good at telling us about what they are fixing, but never fixing it.  I no longer do business with them.

Although this company be making a different kind of game, but still as complicated, I say to you that 3000AD Inc, developing the BATTLECRUISER series of games has been doing just that and more since 1994 (and perhaps earlier than that).

Check out the game, the demo, your A) and B) points and more at www.bc3000ad.com  .

Just think of this: The developer put in PLAYER made organizations INTO the game. Now I'd like to see any other game do THAT

Back in topic, I think HT is doing a good job so far. Sure, more "reports" would be nice, and, in my personal opinion, it would be VERY nice to have a "bug list" made so players can know what is a bug and what not.

In AH, the biggest bug is the player himself, its good to have a list that tells you when you're (the player) not the problem

I dont get it..

Ive never seen any of these problems you mention Tern.. Have you filmed these and sent them to HT..

And theres not a damn thing wrong with the .50s. Why keep bringing this up?

10 kill sortie in a p38 tonight and 6 of them were after cannons ran out killin b26s.

Thats 6 kills with 4 .50s, enough about the .50s,did you ever think it just might be your gunnery.perish the thought.

HTC have made the 332nd Flying Mongrels feel very welcome as have many other players. :-) No complaints here. <S> HTC from the 332nd!

I might mention the best feature of the game is the ".ignore" command. Thankfully I have only had to use it on one player so far.

I dont want to busrt your buble but business
is business HT made that game for one reason
(as all company we know)to make money.

They enswer post because they must be neer
the custommers and that is why they have to
take the time to play on line with us to be
able to found out "what customers want" and
to check if their product is at our con-
vinience otherwise they would have to close
their business.

Custemers have the wright to "whine"and it is in the "best"interest to HT to listen and listen dam good cause others as I am writing this are doing just the same and they are HT competitors.

Dont you ever forget that "all companys"must
be alert and dam sensible to people if they want to make "BIG BUCKS"

So please DAGO think about this befor saying

"I was fortunate enough to be able to drop in on HT and the gang this week for a few minutes. Pyro gave me and a friend a tour around while HT schmoozed with some magazine guys. Ease up gents.

I was there for the "verbal" exchange last nite, as many of you were, and it wasn't fun to watch. Disharmony in a basically harmonius WW2 ACM community.

What I see here is Tern bringing the dialogue back to a non-adversarial level. I think that is a "good thing."

I know HTC wants this to be the best ACM game in the world. What a coincidence! I know we want to play the best ACM game in the world, too.

Obviously, we're all on the same side then, aren't we?

This is a great game, with even greater potential. Not perfect, not flawless, not bug free but very good at a very, very reasonable price. Comes complete with a small dedicated crew of programmers trying to make it better every single day.

There will be questions/suggestions/complaints. That's purely natural.

Therefore, let us deal with each other in a respectful, non-adversarial manner. Hey, we all like the same thing! <Reminds me of a joke>

Tern did an honorable thing here.
