Floyd's Cajun kitchen...on Shepard or Durham south of I-10...

If you're in the mood for some good pizza - try Collina's italian kitchen - great woodfired pizza - and pretty decent other dishes.

If your near the med center...Rice Village, off Kirby - theres  bookshops, all sorts of stores, and I think a hobby/toy store for the "elder" kid i believe....maybe it's a train store..food places around also.

See if the game is in town on Sunday :)
Also - I believe CAF has some stuff down in Galveston..45 min drive

Toad,
We will be praying for a clean bill of health on the MRI and a swift and full recovery after the surgury. Keep up the good spirits and continue making plans for the long future ahead.

Mr. Toad!   Here we all are, doing our best to cheer you up, but as it turns out, you're the one making the rest of us laugh!

Also got a cheap thrill here. I don't know how many prostate exams I've had over the years in the AF and during FAA physicals but it's been a bunch. This was my first one by a woman! Unfortunately, she was an old nurse and looked nothing like Angelina Jolie. The good news is her fingers were way shorter and thinner than most male FAA docs!
:lol:o Which is worse: That, or the test for hernia in which the doctor asks you to cough while grabbing your bollocks....

Toad, if I ever become seriously ill, I shall come to you for consultation on how to keep up one's spirits.

Toad, be good.  Try and control yourself from the practiced art of nurse chasing.  :D  Keep the faith.

I had this really weird dream last night....Toad and I were shooting pheasants, and when we sat down to eat instead of pheasants we were eating kidneys...And when I asked him about it he said nothing goes to waste in the Midwest....

I woke up with heartburn.

Toad the Lone Star Flight muesem is located in Galveston at the airfield, decent collection of warbirds.  Located across the field is Moody Gardens (a big glassed in pyramid).  You might want to check out Johnson Space Center , if you do Kemah is a little port/town adjacent that has some good seafood joints.  As far as downtown or in the vicinity of the Med Center there are a plethora of restaurants/bars etc , just depends on what you're looking for.  Hope this helps.  Best of luck :aok
