I have tried to watch the superbowl here and its probably the worst 'sport' i have ever seen in my life.
To be there and experience it is how you should judge a sport.
im guessing college american football is the best to watch as they are trying to make a name for themselves and do not have all the commercial influence like the POS superbowl has.
that is the real deal.. that and college mentioned elsewhere.
college is total drunken abandon by co-eds, and tons of yelling / partying.
pro football, well most rabid fans have grown up with a team and hold a "personal" connection with it.
here in wisconsin the packers ar "We" or "us" like everyone in the state is on the team.
watching the local game in a super crowded sports bar drinking at noon on a sunday is awsome too.
the fact there are almost NO riots and stuff leads me tobelieve a soccer game might be a bit more "rowdy" in the stands. here at a football game like the packers for example, all the tickets are season ticket holders, with a 60,000+ person waiting list (approx 65 years or more wait for tickets).
there are very few opposing fans at a game. if there are then the local team is not really popular, and the "fans" are just sticking it out.
