The thread is obviously to pay homage to a compassionate and charismatic Catholic leader. Pope John Paul II is the first Pope in my life time that actually traveled to promote good will.  I actually got to see him speak in New Orleans in 1987, and attended a mass he celebrated. I find tainting this thread with shots against the Catholic religion, disgusting. If you aren't Catholic or don't like Catholics, move on. Why cheapen the thread with childish crap about your imaginary sexual exploits? Its about the Pope, NOT YOU.

That makes no difference, its obvious the Pope is gravely ill, and for some to use this time to cheap shot Catholics or make sexual inuendo, is disgusting. You can't demand someone be inteligent, but you should be able to demand they be civilized.

Did you know that the chamberlain of the Vatican has a silver hammer that he uses to strike the Pope on the head 3 times while calling his name to confirm the Pope is dead?

True.

Agreed, couldn't have said it better myself.

ASTAC, of course you are welcome here.  The Pope did more to bring different denominations and different religions together than any other pontif.  Agree with his beliefs or not he was a voice for sanity in an insane world.  To insult him at this point, where he is close to death, is as classless as someone can get.

Well for crying out loud. You finally said something I can totally agree with.

I did rout security for the Pope in 84. We were not alowed to turn to look at him go by in the pope mobile but you could feel it in the crowd. It was like the wave at a concert but it was just a rush of breaths being taken in like a wosh.It was pretty amazing.(I looked anyway)
