Good point about time being the most inmportant factor for some. That definately applies to me.
AH/WB's about the same price: $25/30. Target Korea/WWII Online the same too: $10/mo.  So I could do AH _or_ WB and both the others with which ever one. Price is not an issue at this point. Time is. Where I enjoy myself the most is where I would spend any money - regardless if it is $30 or $10 each month.  I would surprise myself now if I actually subscribed to two of them at once. Will have to see.

Ien wont get one red cent from me anymore, no matter how good wb3 is. I doubt ill even try it.

How anyone can say they'll go here or there without even seeing the product yet is kind of silly imo.

Well wobble the top quote is from your original post and I reread it.  Not once does it mention "options".  You make a better argument in your second post, but I still think my response WAS justified.

AH needs some more graphical options, it only has 2, and thats REALLY holding back the potental for the REAL eyecandy that the others boast about

hey guess what smart guy..half the post is about OPTIONS.

Speculating on sims, that have never been load tested, is a waste of time. They may make it, or maybe not. Or not as advertised. Still, with the upcoming six call mouse click, any plans I had for going back into the MA go down the tube. I like to fly alone. The thing that set AH apart was, with the big guns, you could hold your own in a gang bang. Instant 6 calls will counteract this totally.

So, I'm hopeing TK makes it online. Only time will tell.

The biggest thing to me is if it FEELS right..its hard to explain but go fly Janes ww2 fighters then fly AH, aside from the awful FM janes just doesent feel like yer flying..you get no sense of speed like you do in ah..its a hard thing to describe and a harder thing to get right, but AH hit it right on the head.

....I'm gonna try everything and then pick one.  I have a feeling AH is where I'll stay though.  I'm also very interested in seeing AW4 if it they ever decide to publish anything about it.

AW4 is being worked on.  Kesmai is being pretty vague with details--probably because at this stage there aren't many details--but it IS being worked on.

I expect to see this game before the end of the year.   They may well have a working version in time for the AW CON in August.

Having a GFX engine already done speeds up the programming process (they're using the engine they made for AW:Vietnam, which was cancelled)

At least, that's my understanding.

LOL! Vague isn't the word. Try transparant. Nothing there yet. Let's be truhtful, there's not been a single nothing released about it at all. Name a feature. Name one plane. Will it have start? Ground war? Naval? Clouds?
They have been at this same stage of secrecy for well over two years. Always almost "ready to release news real SOON!" "We can't say anything yet cause things are constantly changing." "Don't want to let the competition know what we have up our sleeves"  "I saw it and it's going to rock!" "I'm building this the right way!"
Seesh. Literally the same crap was said over two years ago. Are that naive? Got anything NEW?  BTW, were's Mage? Over a year ago he was all bubbly like a six year old getting his first bike because of what he said he saw coming then.

snork.  The attendees at the last two CONS thought so also.  <S> power to ya if you 'believe.'

Ok. Look at this a little deeper?  GFX eng from a game cancelled a year ago when the GFX engione was over a year old then. So when this is finally released at the end of the year (keep wishing!) you'll have a three year old graphics engine in a new game? Wow <eye roll> can't wait.

A post from iEN concerning the 'closed beta':

Quote
Requiring an active Warbirds or Dawn of Aces account WILL cut down on the "The paratroopers don't have sniper rifles! This sucks!" type feedback which we really don't need. A completely open beta too early would just generate too much feedback from Quake players about all the "missing" FPS elements, which of course shouldn't be there at all .

Or use AH's model and don't have open beta versions, just force-load it and then pump out 5 or 6 revisions real quick.

Interesting how they think that any comments from the flight sim community outside subscribers are automatically deemed "Quakers" and stero-typed as those who would rant about Para's not having guns....this is one reason alone why I'll never download this product.

I will be with Il-2 and WW2 online, but with iEN's attitude...nope, not WB3's for me!

I saw that. Shook my head at the arrogant smugness and shallow display of sel-importance they give themselves.  Then again, given the track record (iEN) relations has towards customers why would it be any better for potential customers.

Fact is any Zone cretin can pay $10 mo and beta test it There's the laugh.

I think thier open beta is coming out ealry to help retain the many disgruntled people who have been waiting for over two years for WB III but no have to put up with a horrendous situation effecting their online connection performance.

Many screen shots are being held up high by the AGW lemming  trying to spur on high prasie and adoration from the lesser "love children."  Untill the shots are critisized or un-positively remarked on. Where upon it's yanked saying it' wil all be changed by beta and why should we show you anything at all you pagans! Unbelievers!!"     Or it's claimed to be old.  Well if it's going to be changed why show it and if it's that old why wasn't it shown long before??

I think folks will be flying WB III this summer either in a buggy beta or with a production that's got problems. So, either way, I think it's going to be  just,,,,  buggy.
