and i will be damned if i think that what we are doing and the direction that we are heading is either healthy, decent or for that matter christian.

there are so many changes happening that we cant even keep up with them.

national id's passed.

patriot act.

bankrupcy protection- gone.  (this by a puppet who drove his own business to the ground and got bailed out by daddy's rich saudi friends)

attacks on the judicial branch and legislation against it which will castrate it and its ability to uphold our freedoms, protect us from tyranny and defend our constitution.

justifying torture.

ignoring the rights of sovereign nations.

funny.  im starting to feel like we want to be THEM.

it makes my skin crawl.

truly.

Exactly how has your life changed due to all this oppression?

What is it you can no longer do that you could do before?
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

we have met the enemy, and he am us.
The price of Freedom is the willingness to do sudden battle, anywhere, any time and with utter recklessness...

...at home, or abroad.

I refuse to allow such ignorance to be lumped in with "us".

Like everything else there are proud things in our nation's path and some less than proud things.

That you view it as all negative speaks more of you than the nation.

I know a guy that filed bankrupcy last week.  The airlines do it all the time?

Exactly what are not protected against?

Nope. Just a student of the obvious.

Didn't imply you were or even should be.

Certainly an opinion you are entitled to voice.

Excellent! We agree.

Now, other than voicing a personally held opinion of your nation's path, what ACTUAL changes in your life have these new laws wrought? What do you actually have to DO that is different now? How are you inhibited from doing something you did before?

I fear your embarkation on this new spiritual path. It makes you that much more of a formidable opponent. :)

Happy for you, truly.

No, you really haven't.

Well, unless you are saying that the ONLY thing that has changed in your life due to this TERRIBLE OPPRESSION is that you no longer view your country's path in the same way. IE: Your opinion of your country has changed.

That's IT? Guess we are indeed doomed. Of course, not everyone shares that opinion, so maybe we'll be OK afterall.

Good to know the rest of your daily life hasn't changed a lick. Suggests the oppression is lighter than a feather.

Nash... it isn't really "new".

And it never was, and will never be. But I recall your curiousity. And I recall your questions of Seagoon as to direction. I am glad that your exploration seems to be leading you just fine.
