Oh that's right Kerry lost.

http://www.boston.com/news/nation/washington/articles/2005/06/07/yale_grades_portray_kerry_as_a_lackluster_student?mode=PF

Kerry, who graduated two years before Bush, got a cumulative 76 for his four years, according to a transcript that Kerry sent to the Navy when he was applying for officer training school. He received four D's in his freshman year out of 10 courses, but improved his average in later years…..In addition to Kerry's four D's in his freshman year, he received one D in his sophomore year. He did not fail any courses

In 1999, The New Yorker published a transcript indicating that Bush had received a cumulative score of 77 for his first three years at Yale and a roughly similar average under a non-numerical rating system during his senior year….. He received one D in his four years, a 69 in astronomy.  Bush has said he was a C student

But wait.... isn't that "C" average one of the mindless slaps at Booosh we always get treated to when the Bushophobics run out of ideas?

And you're saying the recent champion and standard-bearer of the Democratic party did worse?

Heavens.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

The key factor here is that those who either tout or demean both of those folks on this bbs are not nearly as successful as either of them. Now who is acting dumb???

Depends, it can occasionally be a double D if you're lucky.

*beat*

I gotta say, while I didn't vote for Bush, I find the 'boosh is teh stupd' posts and editorials to be boorish.  If he got elected to be the second most powerful person in the world against all the competition and jockeying, then he's obviously very smart.  Just because someone doesn't Gettysburg every speech doesn't mean they're dumb.  Actions literally speak louder then words, and putting POTUS on your business card is a pretty significant action.

I think the same probably applies to Kerry (another guy I didn't vote for), so get off it.  If grades were an accurate determination of intelligence, then there'd be no need for IQ tests, SATs, or even resumes.  You'd just show up to the interview, say 'oh, btw, I got a 3.9 in college' and be hired.

Hmmmm wonder why you left this part out....

Despite his slow start, he went on to be a top student at Naval Candidate School, command a patrol boat in Vietnam, graduate from law school, and become a prosecutor, lieutenant governor, US senator, and presidential candidate

I guess when you have the press shilling for you a myth of being smart will exist.

.......Based on what Smith recalls teaching that year, Kerry scored a 71 and 79 in two of Smith's courses. When Smith was told those scores, he responded: ''Uh, oh. I thought he was good student. Those aren't very good grades."..........
