Osama bin Laden: Man of the Year
« on: December 07, 2001, 05:57:00 PM »
I heard on the radio that Time Magazine is actually considering giving this title to bin Laden. Is Time just floating this idea to see how it is recieved?

I know Time is liberal, but this is going wayyy over the top. Don't they worry about what kind of message we are sending every love muffin with a bag of fertilizer and a gallon of diesel fuel?

Hitler was man of the year too, so its not based on good deeds just important ones.

But I really dont want him to receive this title, it should be President Bush.

by the criteria, he could well receive the title and actually deserve it.
at this point, i still dont know if bush is the right man for the cover. i think bin laden will get it.

I hope the cover photo is of him lying in his pine coffin, hands crossed over the big hole in his chest where the .50 BMG sniper round went through.

I have to wonder about the look of the time cover. A large red splotch on a cave wall.  Wouldn't people confuse it with some sort of modern art.

The title should go to Rudy Gulianai.

JMHO.

The man of the year should be he who opposes Evil, not creates it.

I thought the man (person or thing)of the year went to who had the biggest impact on world events.

Rudy Gulianai gets my vote!

Just a thought,

How many would drop their subsscriptions to time if bin ladin got it??

I don't have one as I learned long ago that time was not anything I cared to read.
