How to use the aimer of the tanks?

First go to the gunner's position, usually by hitting "2". Then zoom in with the "z". Adjust the zoom by holding "[" or "]" to go in or out.

The gunsight has a kind of ladder, showing how high you need to pitch the guns to kit at certain ranges. The pitch is higher for High Explosive than for Armor Piercing; you switch between ammo by hitting backspace. The numbers by the ladder lines refer to ranges -- they drop zeros to save space on the sight, but yuo can figure it out.

Practice offline or in TA, adn you should be able to get used to it OK.

Just before you ask:

There isn't a way to get icons tank vs tank
You have to learn to tell when a tank is a certain distance out
The scope is in yards x10 (48 is 480, ect)
The best place to hit a tank for a kill is where the turret meets the base of the tank
Armor is thickest up front, then the sides, engine, and lightest on the belly
Sitting at a higher altitude than your opponent will allow you to fire farther without loosing as much round velocity
Higher round velocity=better chance of killing
Round velocity decreases the farther the round has to travel

Now that they added two tanks in offline mode you can even practice there. Boring yes but you can get some benefit from it.

Great practice for ranging targets! I zoom all the way in and compare the size of the tank in relation to the size of the hash marks on the sight to figure range.

once yours zoomed in theres number, 2, 4, 6 etc etc. 2 is 200 4 is 400 6 is 600 etc etc

Just so we are on the same page, there are 2 sets of lines Horizontal and vertical. I use the horizontal to compare how large the target appears in relation to the length of the line. This gives me a rough Idea of how far out (range) the target is. Then use the vertical line to center the barrel of the main gun on the target adjusting for elevation.

I use the horizontal lines to adjust for speed / lead on moving targets. I can't explain how to use them as its more ingrained / gut feel for me.

i know with old panzer scope it's have mildot... use to have a chart.. i figured it all out and worked pretty darn good.
