I would like to see a command to increase and decrease the formation spread during flight. Type (.formation 100) for feet, say 100-1k. We could use this to get a better bomb pattern on citys and strats from high alt. We could also use it to have a close pattern for FHs.
Another Benny would be against attacking fighters. Increasing your formation distance could decrease the fighters chances of hitting multiple aircraft in 1 pass, but decrease the gun effectiveness of your MGs due to further ranges of aircraft, and vice versa.
You would want to set your formation prior to calibration just like stabilizing your doors to keep the bombs accurate. Also tighter formations stay easier during turns, wider formations have greater chance of breaking away. Could just be another element to bombing.
