Why no more LW bombers? He-111, He-177 will be good addition as well.

Back to soviet planes, personally i want to see I-16, Yak-1, MiG-3, LaGG-3, Yak-3, IL-4, Pe-2 and few more may be.

I always got it confused.  The Yak3 came after the Yak9 series?  It was lighter, lightly armed and nimbler?

If you think of the Yak9U as a Spit IX then proportionally the Yak3 is a vulnerable Spit V with slightly better accel.

Yak3 is a true 44 model ac where as the 9U is late 44.

Yak1>Yak1M (prototype)>Yak3

Yak1>Yak1UT(trainer)>Yak7 series>Yak9 series

Yak1M & Yak9D>Yak9U (with better engine than all other Yaks)

For a 44 set we miss Yak3 and Pe2 the most. Excepting the P39.

Forget the He177, give us the Ju188! I don't think any other game has that one!

So the Yak1 would be like comparing it to the Spit14?

More like a Spit I.  The progression is a bit wacky:

Yak-1 -> Yak-7 -> Yak-9
.........\
..........Yak-3

Is how I recall it going.

Uhm actually the Yak 3 was both far faster, better accelerating, better climbing and more nimble than the Yak 9U.

The Yak 3 was the hot rod of Yaks.

The Yak 3 was a later design than the Yak 9, the first production Yak 9's were delivered around October 1942 while the first PROTOTYPE Yak 3 began flight trails in June 1943. The Yak 3 prototype was named Yak 1M which may be a big reason for misstakes regarding "which came first".

No, Tilt are right.
Most produced Yak-3 has M-105PF2 engine and it was slower than Yak-9U (VK-107A engine) for about 5-10kmh at sea level. Some Yak-3 got VK-107A engine and they was faster than Yak-9U, but they number was low (<50)
