I would have liked too seen it developed.

I was surprised how small the U2 was the first time I stood by one.  I got the impression they had a much larger wingspan based on how high they few.  Neat plane.

The starfighter was the starting point of the U2 for Kelly Johnson and the Skunk Works.  They modified the hell out of the 104 and came up with the U2.

The 104 looks like a toy when sitting next to a Phantom.  It's maybe a quarter the size of the F4.

The Starfighters a pretty crappy fighter compared to the SR53. Politics about the Starfighter killed the SR53 project.

To me it seems obvious why they killed a slower, less capable aircraft for one already proven and in service.

I never saw anything attractive about the Vulcan bomber. Its like a fat delta wing.
