Well is it?
I live in England(not known for wide-spread broardband coverage)and wondered if this game is worth playing or not.Any feed-back would be welcome.

heheheh, you are asking the addicts!
We have to answer "of course".

I like it anyway.

The waters fine, put down your money & try it for a month. At the end of that time walk away (if you can)

This game is worth it, provided you have quite a bit of disposable income--it isn't cheap.  If you're on a tight budget, then you might want to look towards less expensive alternatives.

Yes it is good.  Everytime I get bored with one part of it, I find something new and entertaining.

Yes, it is VERY good, and you don't need broadband.  I use a 56k modem (normal connects at 36k or 44k).  The game plays fine with few problems ever.

However, can you afford it?  $30 a month is far too much for most people.

I pay.

Hans.

Good thing about Being in UK is that you have LOADS of free ISP's ! Back when I was there (Oxford area), I could switch from one ISP to the other, choosing the one with the best ping times

Used to have 250-300ms Latency, which is not bad/average and verry playable!

Cm'on in & try it if you didn't yet (15 days free trial..hint hint...)

oh yeah.... I pay too

No, it is not! At least if u are a hardcore sim'er who likes authentic setups. The main Area is a Golly-gee never-ending mayham. It's a bloddy Kindergarden filled with dweebs who do not know toejam about propper wing-operations, historie, etc etc...
The only thing that is worth 30 bucks  are the special events in the week-ends. That has a little bit smell of a ww2 simulation!!

Cheers

I'm English and it is definitely worth playing. Find a decent ISP, preferably one which you have a monthly payment for, but get free calls to the internet. That way you get a bit more support. I'm with Telewest (cable operator), and pay 10 quid a month for unlimited access and a fairly decent service.

Try the free two week trial and make up your own mind - that's what it's there for.

If you subscribe after the free period is up, look up No.272 Squadron - we could do with a few more Brits.
