Seriously thou ive had a solid isp for the last year , and all of the sudden in the last month ive been getting alot of warps and such.  Looking at my ping plot the isp has hosed something , seeing packet loss in their network. switched isp's and ive been good to go .  Im wondering if the holidays are the culprit . 101 post a pingplot and lets see whats happening . Run it for  15 mins or so maybe we can spot somthin in there .

I had a 10% packet loss tonight right at the 'ATTens' IP, right before the HTC MA server.

I constantly see 5-20% packet loss on many of the Dallas ATT servers.

All the downloaded programs need updating regularly.

Instructions for proper install of video drivers.

Pick 1 driver:

Nvidea - http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp - go here and download the drivers to your desktop.

ATI - http://www.ati.com/support/drivers/....x=5&submit.y=4 - go here and download the drivers to your desktop.

Omega tweaked drivers. Recommended by Nvidea and ATI - http://www.omegadrivers.net/main.php - go here and download the drivers to your desktop.

Now get this:
http://www.driverheaven.net - Put it on your desktop

Now install DRIVER CLEANER

Go to add and remove programs and remove all references to ATI or Nvidea.

Restart in safe mode. Usually by clicking the f8 button during reboot.

DO NOT INSTALL ANYTHING if windows asks.

.

Run DRIVER CLEANER. Pick the appropriate filter in the scroll down box AND CLICK THE CLEAN button.

Then restart. DO NOT INSTALL ANYTHING once again. It's ok, all will be well :)

When you reach your desktop click on the driver you downloaded and follow prompts.

Restart..

If you have any problems read the helpfile that comes with DRIVE CLEANER.

If the packet loss is at the last hop, before the server, there is a significant probablity the packet loss is really occurring on the return trip to your computer using a different route.  PingPlots/traceroutes cannot show this problem.
The only way it can be diagnosed is by doing a trace from both the source and destination IP addresses, at the same time.
