My squadie just logged in last night saying that he lost his in game mapping because (for some reason) he had to plug into a different set of usb ports.  You didnt really say what preceeded your problem.  But my squadies problem could have been avoided.

If you use control manager to assign all three (throttle, pedals, and stick) as one device, windows and therefore Ah will always see it as that same one device no matter how and where you have all three plugged in, and you wont lose mapping from your pc detecting a different setup than previously used.  You might want to consider doing this if you havent already.

I had a problem with the CH USB gear when I tried to hook it all up to an external USB hub. I bought an internal PCI slot USB hub and used that and it worked fine. I'm not sure if that's your problem though. I'm not sure what you mean when you say you got it all set-up and it works but your buttons are all reset..Are you using AH to try to assign functions or Control Manager?

why I love my old Analog CH Fighter Stick and stuff, got  memory chip built into the base, never loses anything......stick is just worn out though...........

in AH you got to set all inputs on both sides of the screen click apply/ok

same when stick mapping & keymapping........

not up on CH Manager, for that is with CH Products USB stuff, but sounds like if ya use it it holds same purpose as the memory in the old analog sticks........

checkout stickset up on netaces.org  or  Aces High Help on the website...........

to add, I agree with Murdr, if ya not using any stick-based software to set it up, when you unplug it you lose everything.....the way of USB

Just to clearify, I use the AH stick mapper to assign all the functions.  I just use the CH manager to make my rig an 8-axis 32-button device for the reasons already stated.

Ok when i set it up my new throttle turned the plane the rudders were the throttle and god knows what the joystick was doing. I fixxed all that the throttle controls the man and rudder petals is the rudder now. But the standard buttons that were used to fire the guns dont work. I tryed to reset them back in the joystick map but it wont set anything if that helps. Im just going to send the throttle back or sell it if i cant figure it out.

I manually set my stick up in AH settings. All ch. Never had any problems with them losing map.
