OK spoke to Skuzzy here's the guidelines-
LF IXe - Can go on a XVI.
LF IXc - If standard tail goes on a IX, if tall tail goes on a VIII.
Overall shape and armament is what matters. Clipped/non clipped doesn't matter as it was done on a case by case basis.
