What is the difference?  Is it worth it to pay for the pro version?

Extra instrument flying stuff, I think. Try flightsim.com , I'm sure they'll have a detailed analysis.

Man, I am so out of touch with civ flight sims after the advent of WarBirds H2H.

Duma is right about the Extra instrument stuff, the Pro version also have 4 or 5 additional Planes, one is the Concorde i think.

The Concorde is in MS 2000.  The Pro version gives you more gauges and insturments I believe.

Don't buy FS 2000 or Pro just for a larger plane selection.  If you go to www.flightsim.com  you can literally download thousands of great planes.   Although, there are no good Spitfire models.

BTW, has anyone downloaded the 3xBeaver set? I have problems getting that plane to move.  I go full throttle and RPM, full the checklist for startup and the plane just wont move, even at full throttle.

Be sure to download that new Cessena on their main page, it is great.

2 more Planes, the Mooney Bravo and King Air 350.
Then a specially IFR-Trainingpanel (for the Mooney
Bravo und King Air 350). Also a Flight-Dynamics and
Panel-Editor. 6 more Hi-detailed Scenerys and a
Flightschool Handbook.

ps. here http://www.flightsimulator.de/  you can

Which is more challanging and complex?  FS 2000, by far.

Try landing a 777 via ILS at Person Int.

Igloo, downloaded the Beaver set, but I don't have any problem with them. I'm using the Beaver in the Alaska mesh scenery, it's impressive!!!

Get Pro. The price difference isn't all that great, and most planes you can download need gauges that aren't included in the regular version.

About the Beavers not moving (those planes are about the best I've seen in any civilian sim ever, btw) there's a problem with some planes having zero prop pitch no matter what if you select them after certain third party planes (or something like that  . Selecting first the default cessna, then the Beavers might help. The patch is also supposed to fix this, but i'm not positive on that.

Funked,

What are your goals? What are you looking for in these?

Toad I am looking for something to replace an old game I had called SubLogic ATP.  This was an offshoot of SubLogic's original FS products (which MS bought from them) and it had several airliners with a good FM (for 1990), full navaids, ATC, and it scored your flight on how well you followed procedures, stayed on flight path, held altitudes and speeds, etc.

I just found out that a new version of this game has been developed, so I think I'll buy that.  It looks like FS2000 does not have ATC.

In that case, there really isn't a big difference between Plain and Pro. Take the cheap one.

Pro, IMHO, really doesn't add much with respect emulating current transport category flight in an ATC environment. Therefore, I wouldn't pay much of a premium to get Pro..certainly less than $5.

YMMV.

Could the Brake be on ? BTW thanks for bringing up the Beavers , got them , love the sound too   , funny though they don't have as much torque as the Cessna on takeoff . I just didn't know that there was that good of free stuff out now . Impressive to say the least .

Got the J3 cub too , the little yellow one , man love that idle sound . It's a cpu hog though , has a virtu view too which is nice .

Will download the Cessena tonight   man that's one big mother download for just one plane

Thanks again , hope you find out why they won't move for you , didn't have anyproblems here . But whats the click noise for btw ? I didn't install that anywere yet ???

When I go full throttle and RPM, the prop barely rotates.

That Cessna is awesome, 25meg d/l is it?  The Blue Angels F/A-18 is good too.  There is also an awesome Canadair Regional Jet for British Airways.
