Almost immediately after installing .NET v2.0 I began experiencing weird stuff. 1. When connecting to a newsgroup (alt.christian.lifestyle of course) it took three attempts, 1 each on three different "religous" newsgroups before I could connect. 2. System acted like it was busy doing something when it shouldn't have (file manager would freeze and take 4-5 minutes before activity would resume.

I thought I had some spyware or something. I removed .NET today, and this PC is running normal again.

I also received the router and a huge pile of PC components today. Hopefully, by weeks end, I'll be playing on the new system, my brother playing on this old one (upgraded), and my son doing whatever 14 y.o.'s do on his new one. (hope it's the right newsgroups) :)

Check the longer cable, sounds though it might be bad.
Maybe cables in the incorrect order, or a bad connection.
