... because of these 3 deer.

These 3 deer walked right into our backyard tonight and got within 10 feet of our open window.

Ive been seeing the same thing, doe and 2 fawns comming unusually close to the house. I figure its because of the drought we've been having and they are looking for water. I have 8 year old heifers pastured just outside my bedrooom window and have seen them there on numerous occasions. I am surrounded by bush on 3 sides and see deer all the  time but not this close to the house. I could literally arrow one from my bedroom window if there still around in a couple months but that wouldnt be very sporting. Plus i doubt id have the heart, they are part of the herd now  :)

My nieghbour had a cow moose in his garden about a month ago, he wasnt so happy about it cause it ruined all his cabbages  :D

Of course, I only see what he posts here and what he does in the MA.  I know virtually nothing about the man.  I think its important for people to realize that we don't really know squat about each other.... definately not enough to use words like "hate".

Full belly, green lawn.

You'd be in heaven on my Montana property.
(Note: Replace 3 deer with roaming herds of 30, and add a couple herds of Elk, complete with Bulls, and antelope, throw in occasionally Moose feasting in the trout ponds, and occasional Black bear.)

That's some nice country right there...

Especially for ridge soaring or just taking up a Cessna for a little mountain flying.

SW, Ennis has an airstrip too...long term plan is last 5 years I work, gonna built a midi-light, then retire at 55 out there, my time will be spent fishing, flying, killing in the fall.  :)

I have relatives that live in a nice very suburban area (bordering on boondocks) in Bozeman, Montana.

The airstrip is about 10 minutes away, mountain biking about 15 minutes away, trout fishing about a 5 minute walk away, rock climbing about 30 minutes away and well just about every wilderness activity you could ever imagine.

Went trail hiking in the rockies about 40 minutes away from Bozeman about 7 years ago, the side we went up had a glacier slide down the mountain earlier that morning. It was one of the coolest things, you could look up this one area and see clear to the top because all of the trees had been cleared out.

I love it out there!

If your thinking about retirement, look me up, I'll set you up with a realtor, 30 acre tracts in Ennis (1 hour SouthWest of Bozeman) are going anywhere from $25000 to $80000.  Some owners will carry contract.  We simply treated it as a car payment for 6 years, and now own it (however, that was 10 years ago, the property we bought cost $10,000, today its appraised at $75,000)

Keep in mind, the liberals in this country will all but have hunting outlawed in 15 years, except on private property...Shining Mountains (where I own property) is a "Land Owners Association" where you have hunting and fishing rights to the entire estate of 10,000 acres, 70 miles North of Yellowstone, 3 trout ponds (one cast, one catch, smallest I've seen is 18 inches, biggest was caught by my step-dad, 9lbs 9 oz...you ever seen a Rainbow that big?  They begin to look/fight like a salmon!).
