Terrain Chunk Loading Problem (re: v2.08p1)
« on: June 04, 2006, 06:58:56 PM »
Hello,

I'm having a problem with the terrain chunk loading/culling where it seems that the distance at which chunks are loaded/culled has decreased resulting in visible terrain chunk loading and the loss of distant terrain at the horizon.  Kinda hard to explain, so please see the screen grab.

The following is a screen shot showing the terrain chunk boundary.  You will notice that the distance to that boundary is much closer than it was in previous versions.  The distant fog no longer occludes the loading of terrain chunks:

I've also included a dxdiag dump for reference.

Thanks,
Beauzo

Hit key combination Shift+F1
Easy in-game again.

looks like you have your vis distance set to the lowest setting.  Try Shift+F1 like Easyscor said.
