Yeah, I heard about that opening too.  I hear the pay is pretty good, but the person who has it now gets quite a bit of e-mail.

The prices remind me of what they were in LA when we sold.  Heck, maybe I should rent one of my mother's properties for a while (if we move) and wait for the bubble to pop.  Such a gamble....  can't tell if the bubble will pop, or if it will just sorta sit there for a few years before heading up again.
I don't think the bubble will pop in this area. The state has made a business-friendly environment and businesses are growing in this area.  Once upon a time when Boeing did poorly, the area went into a cyclic economical tail spin. That is not the case anymore.  Boeing registers on the economical radar screen, but its signature is very small compared to the 60's and 70's.  High prices are here to stay.

That will be a terrible commute to Redmond unless you work on an alternate schedule.  On a Sunday morning with no traffic, you're looking at 1.25 hours Redmond to Olympia.  Add 45 minutes in traffic and another 60 minutes+ on monday mornings and friday afternoons.  Traffic isn't like LA or NY city, but road speeds tend to be a slower in the Pugest Sound than the rest of the country.

Unless you really need to live in a city environment, you'll find more reasonable homes and communtes East , South East and North East of route 405.

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Duvall , Snohomish,Lynnwood, Mt lake terrace  Are quite abit cheaper then the Belleview/redmond area  .. even Bothel is better then paying for the thru the roof miscosoft boxes.

the commute is better from those places .
Olympia is a nightmare drive . I would not reccomend that drive (3 -4 hrs in transit per day)

Seattle rain, pours
Relentless, unyielding, dank
Wet socks, all day long
