I like balance when it comes to House/Senate/President
« on: November 09, 2000, 09:20:00 AM »
Just a footnote:
Most know who I voted for, but would the end  of the world as we know it be here if Gore wins? No. Repubs still hold the majority in the House and Senate (Thankfully, the economy has been good, why change anything in the House and Senate if times are good?)

Some think if H/S/P were  all Republican it would be a bad thing...it might be, dunno, we haven't had that type of 'imbalance' for quite some time...

A balance of power IMO is a good thing, though it does hinder alot of bills  getting thru the Oral Office, er Oval Office.

One thing that really makes me mad is both parties like to attach special interests to bills...I wish we could change it to 1 bill, 1 subject.  That way, whoever is president must account for his actions in either signing it, or veto'ing it.
