Lukster, that's the point.
You don't argue taste or colors or... religion, etc.  That's exactly what those things aren't: rational.

I prefer to think of it as discussing rather than arguing. It's a process whereby we get acquainted with one another.

Personally I feel there is no subject too serious for there to be found no humor. Humor has many elements but should have an element of truth (agreed that perception of truth is subjective). One big detractor from funny for me is ill disguised contempt for it's subject and that is apparent in the video.

I didn't find it funny?

Too forced or something?

Have to admit I find myself agreeing with Lukster.  Seemed contemptuous.......
It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.

"They try to "solve" the differences between the two religions in 3 minutes, good stuff"

There is no way to "solve" the differences between these two religions. The differences are fundemental to the beliefs of each. Christians believe that redemption is through the sacrifice, and shed blood of Jesus Christ. Followers of Islam believe redemption is through belief in Alla, and his prophet Mohammed, and that their good deeds must out weigh the bad. The only similarity really is FAITH.

As to who is right or who is wrong, well, one day we will ALL find out.

Oh, and yes I am a Christian.

I don't find your posts to be especially offensive Chair. You do seem to dwell Chrisitanity more than a little  though. You might want to take a closer look at that?

Is this thread about Christianity vs Islam or humor? I vote for a discussion on humor.

I'm with Lukster, I can generally find some sort of humor in just about any topic no matter how serious.....but this wasnt funny.....more like contemptuous of religion in general.
