According to....?

According to the scientists who actually study volcanoes, including the United States Geological Survey, all the volcanoes in the world put out far less than 1% of the greenhouse gasses man emits, and a large fraction of those are due to transport.

The globe has warmed some 0.8 degs in the last 100 years. It is now belived that thanks to lively volcanic activity in that period, that figure isn't higher.
Volcanic eruptions COOL, not warm.
A very fine example is an eruption lasting from 1783 to 1786, cooling the whole of Europe.

And you can't stop them anyway.....
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

One thing to understand about California Vulcan, is no one understands California.  Sort of like a woman.  Attractive, but bewildering.

We'll keep our $50B in net federal revenue too.  All those freeloading states (mostly southern or red states) will have to pay their share for once.
I doubt the nation would do very well with 1/7th of its economic output missing.

Too late to secede I think. You've already been conquered by Mexico. Officially leaving the US will be just a formality.

I think a big ole' shove it up your ass, and then refuse to sell any cars or car parts in california would do them well.  Shut down any plants in CA as well.

You should work for Ford, I'm sure they would jump at the chance to pull out of their biggest and most lucrative market.
funny thing is, ALL the major car players have set up a collaboration right here in Sacramento  to investigate using Hydrogen energy systems to power their future products.
We should just tell them to forget that to and go away and leave us all alone....

Forgot to mention the Microsft thing too, please study the issues that were at the forefront of this case and you will see that it had zip all to do with "writing microsoft programs better"
Incidentlly, this issue was first raised by the feds.
Have a great day

Most states will run out of the tobaco lawsuit and penalty tax soon...

A new evil needs to be found to supply the coffers...  this is just the latest...

Fast food is in the running too...

They are scared of the booze industry...well... not so much them but the booze consumers.

It is getting hard to find a group big enough to make it worth while to extort but not so big that they fight back.

it is a constant strugle for the socialists and women democrats.

I saw that episode on Discovery Ch, volcanic gas turns into tiny "mirrors" of sulfuric acid to reflect the suns goodness back into space.

Mt St Helen going off in the 80's had lasting effects for years and years, something like the equal of 15 years vehicle emissions exploded in minutes.

Based in the ice tapping's at the pole, its just a fact that this planet recycles itself.. we're an arrogant bunch thinking we're anything but temporary guests IMO.
