one of my art history proffessors once said that one of the first things that a new pope does, is decide of the fig leaves should remain over the privates of males in the vatican.

according to her, they have little clips in the back.

strange but true? don't know, but she was an authority on the subject.
this thread is doomed.

I'm guessing the parents have no problems showing the kid a statue of a half naked guy nailed to a cross though?

I think it's more about whiney teachers in Texas. Funny that I had to do a lot of digging to find that the school board refutes her claim that this is why she was not renewed. My speculation that there is a hidden agenda in the reporting is becoming more validated.

Every Texan I know would not support a teacher being fired because some fifth grader saw a nude statue at the Dallas arts Museum. That's why I think there is more to this. As the school board has stated, she was not fired for this reason. I think the teacher is using the incident to keep her job and the original reporter is using it for their own agenda. But hey, everyone knows that Texans are all a bunch of prudes so why spoil the lynching?

So what were their reasons?

It was mentioned earlier that she was a teacher there for many many years.  I would like to know why they let her go, if not for this reason.

Why do you think you have a right to know their reasons? The teacher is entitled to some privacy you know.
