The funny thing is it's actually a pretty decent plane, just most don't put the effort forth and fly it like tards.

It has its limitations but it also has its strongpoints.  Taking off in one from a vulched field with 50% is fun tho!  Not long after wheels up your outrunning about everything vulching!  LMAO!  Also with the right throttle management, it can fight with nearly any plane in the set.  Still I think most newbs fly it because they can see out of it so well and run if they get in trouble!   :aok

lgay = newb plane. Just like the spixteen.

Last tour (before the arena format change) I promised to fly nothing but LAs the entire tour. I got 112 kills (100 LA7, 12 LA5FN) to 27 deaths (that's counting "out of  gas" ditches and augers, and non-enemy related deaths).

*ME*. I got that score. [EDIT: Read this as shock, due to the fact that I'm a mediocre pilot] In about a week and a half (between when the tour started and when the format changed. I only flew for just over a week during this time period).

LA7 might get you kills. It won't ever give you skills. You have to have the skills first, then fly the plane, or fly the plane but fly other planes to learn new things.

Newbies in LA& are no problem, most La7s I encounter are the 4-7 year AH vets. THEY are the problem. Now of course they have 2 ultra uber rides to choose from- spixteen was just what the game needed:rolleyes:

No problem for me.  I don't care how long theyve been flying, most vet pilots who fly the la7 as their main ride are easy kills waiting for me to find them.  It's all a matter of knowing the plane you're flying, then you know the angles its capable of pulling.  After that its all math!:aok

LA's and spit 16's are easy kills for my hog, I have no trouble except when they gang me 4:1 or more,lol.  1 on 1 or even 2 on 1(me being the 1)  I usually win with my -1 hog.
