Go get the 4.31 version of the 4-in-1's.  There is a patch for a Soundblaster bug included in them.

I'd try removing your SB live drivers as well.  Leave the card out and rip out all the drivers.  Make sure you have the latest SB only soundcard drivers.  Now, in your BIOS there should be a toggle to "force ESC update" or something like that.  Do that once and boot Windows  without the SB Live.  Now if that works, shut down, pop the Live into Slot 2, and enter BIOS setup.  Force ESC setup again and reboot.  Now see if will assign the IRQ's properly.  You certainly have plenty free, it's just not re-assigning them right.

Are you using Windows 2000? If so, disable ACPI

Sweet, looks like you got it!  I see your video on 11, SB Live on 10, USB on 5.  Your NIC is sharing with your Highpoint controller, but you will have to have something sharing.

Now for the big question.  Did it fix your problem?

qts, if he was using Win2k he wouldn't be able to disable ACPI.  The only way to disable ACPI in Win2k is to re-install the OS.  Plus, if ACPI was turned on in Win2k he'd have everything on IRQ9.  He's not running ACPI.

Sean! Thanks so much for your help, with what little time it has ran I would have to say I don't know, it'll just have to do its thing and see what shows up, computing and gaming, regardless of the outcome I appreciate all of your attention to this, <S>.

Hey no problem.

If you get more problems, let me know.  There are some other possible issues, and I may be able to help.  I hope this does it though, since I think you have done a lot of work to get this thing sorted out!
