How to regain Original Sounds?
« on: May 04, 2000, 01:02:00 PM »
I messed my sounds up pretty bad
I was wondering how to regain my original sounds without having to do a complete reintsall?  I'll still be adding back in AKWabbit and Citabrias' custom wav's but I'd lost several aircrafts sounds and some other type sounds in my experimenting as well and I need to start from scratch.

Thanks in advance for any help!

All you have to do is delete the custom sound directories.  I.e. delete the folders in the sound directory marked "p51d", "p38l", etc.

If you ended up destroying the original sounds, i.e. deleted them instead of renaming them, let me know, I have all of them.

Reinstall is the only way other than getting them from someone else.

Thanks Pyro and Bloom25. In all actuallity re-installing is not that bad of an option with the program of such a small size. I'll try that. Thanks for the offer Bloom25. I think I'll be doing a reformat and upgrade to Win98 (a bit sooner than I planned but I might as well kill 2 birds with one stone) so I'l just save my 'settings' folder for the cockpit views and reinstall AH afterwards.
