21 Days Strait
« on: December 23, 2006, 08:43:35 PM »
Wow,

I have tommorrow off (kinda, I have to go in for some paper work but it's not actual work)  I've worked 21 days strait and not one of those days have been less than 15 hours.  My day's usually start at 4AM with me leaving the squadron at 8PM.  This round I have a female flight and I have been relentless with them....they think I am pure evil!

It's funny the differences betweent he sexes but they are apparent.  Either gender it doesnt cease to amaze me how little our youth in America prepare for military duty.  I had one trainee that looked and cried as if she was being tortured during her first run assesment.  Litterally she was screaming and crying like I was prying off her toe nails but she was just running a mile and a half.

I'm home with my family right now wich is awsome because I havn't seen them in a while (yet i'm still looking at this board and posting....what's wrong with me?) and I just have to say....

Appreciate what you have.

Appreciate those who sacrifice (military or civilian)

Appreciate the time you have cause you can't get a refund on time spent.

you all are a great bunch of guys and I allways appreciate the reality break in reading some of the banter on this board.  With that said....Merry Christmas gents....enjoy your familys and enjoy the hollidays

Strait:

1. a narrow passage of water connecting two large bodies of water.

5. narrow: Strait is the gate.
6. affording little space; confined in area.
7. strict, as in requirements or principles.

Straight:

10. continuous or unbroken: in straight succession.

Sorry, I tohught this was the pet peeves thread....Thanks for the work and merry Christmas to you!

Merry Christmas, Guns. I hope it's a bountiful one for you and yours.

Hey, your in Texas now. Time for you to experience the TexMex tradition, Christmas enchiladas!
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

My wife is German and we alternate, this year we do christmas on Christmas eve, next year we do it the traditional wake up in the morning make coffee and open presents.

Christmas Enchiladas?  Any different than regular ones?

The German meal consists of:

Sourpolden

Kneudle

houghtkraut

salad

I'm not sure if any of these are spelled even remotly close but my mother in law makes it and I just kind of grin and say "mmm this is good".  Next year it will be turkey/ham/goose with all the fixens.

Yeah, there is always at least one Democratic liberal in every bunch.  :rofl

Yeah, they taste better 'cause it's Christmas!!!

Seriously, tho. It's a Mexican tradition to serve enchiladas at Christmas. Don't ask me why, it just is. :)

Guns you should get some Stollen in there :D  not sure it it's traditional, but my parents got me into marzipanstollen and with coffee, toasted with butter on it, it's better than fresh donuts!

Merry Christmas, Happy New year!
