Hey all,

I just installed Win 2k this weekend and now I'm having a hard time trying to get AH to run.  The problem I'm having is when I start up AH, all I get is a baby blue colored screen (NOT the blue screen of death).  I'm pretty sure AH is running ok.  I've tried all the different video settings, deleting the video.cfg file each time, but without any luck.  Right now, I'm trying to see if it the video card drivers thats giving me problems, sort of confused about which drivers to use.  After I installed Win2k, I noticed that the video card driver it had listed was for the Nvidia Riva TNT2 but I have the Diamond Viper V770 Ultra.  I went to the Diamond MM site to see if I could get the latest drivers, but it mentioned:
  "OS includes TNT Ultra drivers (No D3D/OGL)
OS doesn't include Viper V770 Ultra drivers
Nvidia reference drivers are available with D3D and OpenGL support. Download Nvidia's Detonator 2 drivers for the Riva TNT-2 chipset from Nvidia's site."

I'm at work right now so I can't download it and try it just yet...  Can anyone confirm if this is correct or should I be looking at something else?

Also, I know that there are a few of you that are using Win2k without any problems and I was wondering what type of joystick you have...  I have the MS Sidewinder ForceFeedback Pro and was wondering how you can program the buttons without the software it came with (when I tried installing it, it said that it wasn't made to be installed on the OS)...

Oh and if you need info on the rest of my computer, I have:

PIII 600
128 MB  SDRAM
20GB Quantium Fireball ATA 88 @7200 rpm HD
Diamond Viper V770 Ultra video Card
SoundBlaster Live! Value
MS Sidewinder Forcefeedback Pro (using the gameport on the soundcard)
Samsung 700IFT monitor...
(anything else you might need to know?)

 Get the Detonator W2K_6.18 build drivers,if you can`t find a copy let me know. You will also need the nvrefix.zip file to get your monitor to run in high resolutions,also get NvMax utility its great for accessing all the hidden properties of the Det3 drivers.

When you say the "Detonator W2K_6.18 build drivers" do you mean the Detonator 2 driver or the Detonator 3 driver?  I know that I can get either on from here, but where can I find the nvrefix.zip file and NvMax?  

Can't wait to get home now to try it out !!!

 The 6.18 build are Det 3 drivers,get NvMax here-> http://www.tweakfiles.com/video/nvmax.html

EDIT: Don`t O/C the TNT2 too high-it can cause the "blue screen" fault.

and don't worry, i don't even know how to O/C my computer let alone my vid card  !!!

Hopefully I'll have everything fixed, so I can get shot down tonight  !!!
