Alpha settings
« on: January 09, 2007, 12:38:45 PM »
My alpha settings are stuck on the "dumb high" lvl. so when i make map all i see is a light blue glow. even though the settings are at what they are supposed to be

i didn't post something about this problem before becuz my maps whre simple enough that i could accurately recreate them using ms paint.

but now i have one that isn't so simple and i need "make map" function to work correctly.

settings say:

Grid Line alpha: 80
text alpha: 128
text size miles: 4

even if i set them to something else it coems out exactly the same.

here's a sample, notice the light blue "glow"

Maybe you should send skuzzy an email asking him about this. Cause if reducing the alpha settings isn't helping, I don't know what will. Contact him here:

I can duplicate this when using a solid light colored texture for water.

Try using the default water texture.

Something is terribly wrong then. The default water texture looks like this when you make a map within the TE....

Yoshimbo, open the TE, make sure you're in the "Terrain" tab. Then press "Save Textures". Now, go to: C:\Program Files\HTC\ah2editor\ahiiterr\myterrain\savedtex\

Look for: terr0000

Is it the standard water tile or something else?

Okay, so it's not the water tile then. Report all of this to skuzzy, mentioning the methods you undertook to determine that it was not the water tile causing the end-result.
