In the mid-90's she slowly returned into the show business and did guest appearances on the US TV shows "Sliders" (with Jerry O'Connell) and "Air America" (starring Lorenzo Lamas with whom she had previously starred together in "Falcon Crest" in 1986). She can often be seen on film premieres and media events in California.

I was always disapointed that with the sheer wealth of talent within the Wilburys that all they did was make three and a half minute pop ditties.

You guys are knocking the half time show?

Did you see the PRE game show?

That blew chunks.  What marketing genius thought that the circus acts would even remotely cater to the Superbowl crowd?

Even if it was the right crowd, it was not a good show at all.

Prince plays just about any instrument.  Writes his own music and produces his own records/albums.  If that's "gay" so's Bruce Springsteen.

Ok and other then 2 or 3 songs. How much of his stuff has been worth listening to? How many hits did he have?

Personally I never saw the great appeal of Springstein either.
I mean hes ok but I never considered him "the Boss"

Although according to all accounts of anyone I know or have heard of having encounters with him. Springstein is at least a pretty decent guy.

Example some time ago a guy around here was selling some sort of guitar. S'possed to be some sort of collectors item I forget what exactly it was.

anyway. He was having a kid and money was tight so he decided to sell it and put an ad in the paper.
He comes home from work and his wife tells him "Your never going to beleive who is here and wants to buy your guitar"

He asks "who" His wife tells him "Springstein"
He doesnt beleive her and goes upstairs and sure enough its Bruce springstein.
They get to talking and Springstein asks him why hes selling it. So he tells him the deal.

Without batting an eyelash  Springstein gives him 3 times what the Guitar is worth and wishes him the best of luck with the baby

true story

Prince on the otherhand comes across as a pure a-hole

Regardless if he comes off as an a-hole, and so does Sting if you ever read Andy Summer's book, he is an incredible talent.  There are plenty out there that are very talented but that doesn't mean everyone has like them.  As for Prince, yes I am an admirer of him in a musical sense.  As opposed to what's popular now and when Prince was popular I'll take 1999 or Purple Rain anyday of the week over just about anything out now.  Same for Bruce.  Bruce presides in the same rank of bad "good" singers as Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Stevie Nicks.  But he's still a hell of a musical talent.  Regardless of the fact that he's an R&B artist he still is in the singer/song writer vein.  But that's the beauty of music; different strokes for different folks.

I think alot of poeple have no clue just how many instruments he can play, just a "nautral" talent.

they may not like his personal "style" but is extremely talented none the less.

I agree.  I am not an R&B fan at all but then I don't think Prince is exclusively R&B either.  I mean come on, he played Bob Dylan/Hendrix and The Foo Fighters during the show.  Hard to put him into just one genre for sure.

Well I've had serious discussions before, but I guess I should've payed more attention to the thread starter.  How about we just settle for a somewhat civilized discussion where a differing opinion isn't met with the cry of homo?
